• Post Secondary degree or diploma in construction/engineering
• Minimum 5 years related experience in cost estimation with minimum 10 years in the Heavy Civil Construction industry is preferred
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings
• Experience in tendering on local highway/road construction opportunities as well as other civil construction projects using estimating software is a requirement
• Demonstrated success in project delivery and execution of project  management methods
• Proficient in related computer applications

Responsibilities:
• Track projects currently out to tender and prepare detailed cost estimates
• Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
• Perform quantity calculations and establish unit costs, productivity factors and location impacts
• Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures
